Convolutional code

A convolutional code is a type of error-correcting code that is used in communication systems to detect and correct errors that may occur during data transmission. Convolutional codes are a type of forward error correction (FEC) code, which means that they add redundant information to the data being transmitted in order to allow the receiver to detect and correct errors without the need for a feedback channel.
